PHASE 1
In response to the challenging terrain of rugged rocks, turbulent waves, and deep waters, as well as the consistent influx of tourists throughout the year, the government deemed it essential to construct a viewing deck. The project was meticulously planned with a primary focus on addressing climate change mitigation strategies, optimizing parking facilities, managing traffic flow, enhancing pedestrian routes, and providing essential public amenities. Phase 1 of the project was inaugurated on October 18, 2021.
Accessible
The Peggy’s Cove viewing deck remains accessible year-round, offering visitors uninterrupted access to its breathtaking views of North Atlantic Ocean. Additionally, the public washrooms, designed for accessibility, are operational seven days a week, welcoming guests from 9 AM to 7 PM daily.
Parking – The parking facilities at Peggy’s Cove have been expanded to accommodate various vehicle sizes, including RVs and motorcoaches, ensuring ample space for all visitors.
