While there are hundreds of lighthouses in Prince Edward Island the 2 famous lighthouses which particularly are famous and scenic are the Wood Islands Lighthouse and Point Prim Lighthouse.
Wood Islands Lighthouse
Located Next to Wood Islands Ferry Terminal in PEI is a pretty cool light house to see with rich history and photogenic views. Built in 1876 attached with a two-storey six bedroom home. This was the second lighthouse built after the Island joined Confederation. “The lighthouse is the first tourist destination on Prince Edward Island for travelers visiting from Nova Scotia via the Northumberland ferry.” Wood Islands Lighthouse served as an important navigational aid for ships traveling through the Northumberland Strait. It is a great spot for a picnic or to spend some time before your ferry to NovaScotia.
Museum
In 1998 lighthouse attached a dwelling featuring the history of the Island with various displays and artifacts and a gift shop. The entry Fee to Multi Room and Tower is $6.50.

Point Prim Lighthouse
The Point Prim Lighthouse which opened in the year 1845 is one of the historic lighthouse on Prince Edward Island, Canada. It is the only round brick lighthouse in Maritimes and one of the three in Canada. The other famous round lighthouse is located in British Columbia which is called Fisgard Lighthouse. The Point Prim Lighthouse is owned and operated by the Point Prim Lighthouse Society, a non profit organization run by a group of volunteers. This round brick structure is also a national heritage site. If you wish to walk the vertical stairs it will cost you $5/6 but the views are worth it.
